 Webelos Den 5 I hosted a really fun
Cub Scout camp out for Webelo Den 5 at my house last weekend.
We couldn’t actually camp outside because of the rain but we cooked
all of our meals outside. We slept in my basement because of the rain.
One of the parents slept in a tent outside. We
had a bonfire and we got to make the fire from scratch. For
dinner we had pigs in a blanket and bread sticks cooked in a oven box and
we roasted hot dogs over the fire. We also had beef stroganoff and
chocolate cherry pie cooked over the fire in an iron pot. For
breakfast we had bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes, and cinnamon rolls. We
finished the requirements for our outdoorsman pin. We
also achieved our showmen pin by making bag puppets and putting on a play
with them. We played with
water balloons and toy rocket guns.
I think that this event went pretty well and I’d like to do it
again.
